Curzon wrties from Montreal to thank Mrs. Rives for her hospitality following a recent visit to Castle Hill. He mentions how fond he is of "Amy" and comments that he thinks constantly of her "charming family circle ... beautiful surroundings ... mingled art, business & pleasure ... [and] grinning negro background" all of which he would like to transport to England.
